The origin

After building Yuzu and supporting hundreds of users in their relationship with food, I saw one thing: most nutrition tools fail because they ask for too much effort.

Weigh, scan, type, calculate. Every meal becomes a form to fill in. Eating turns into an administrative chore — the exact opposite of what we were looking for. And after twelve days, the app stays in the phone, silent.

The problem isn't people's motivation. The problem is the tool.

The mission

Calerys is the opposite. You write to it like a friend. A photo, a word, a question — and you get a clear, calm, useful answer. Calerys adapts to your life, not the other way around.

Our conviction is simple: lasting nutrition doesn't come from iron discipline, but from a continuous conversation. No tables to fill in. No guilt-inducing notifications. Just a coach who knows you, inside WhatsApp, where you already live.

The team

Today, Calerys is run by a solo founder, based in Switzerland. Tomorrow, a team. The structure is deliberately lean to keep the product sharp, the cost low, and the decisions fast.

We are gradually surrounding ourselves with healthcare professionals, qualified nutritionists and nutrition science researchers to guarantee the rigour and safety of our recommendations. The scientific committee is currently being assembled.

The vision

Improving health through food, at scale. Making accessible to tens of thousands of people what only expensive dietary follow-up offered until now.

Without turning eating into gamification. Without selling data. Without pushing you to buy side products. Just an honest, available coach that improves week after week.

Because WhatsApp is where you already are. Not another app to download, authorise, open. A conversation among the others. Once you're signed up, Calerys lives in your thread — like a nutritionist friend who writes to you in the morning and answers you in the evening.
